This product has a 6-8 week lead time from when an order is placed.
The MONARK (Modular Observational Networked Aerial Robotics Kit) is a new way of thinking about and implementing small UAS. The MONARK is built on the following principles:
- Field repairable and customizable. The airframe for the MONARK is open-source and designed to be strong and light when printed with modern glass fiber reinforced ABS plastic. If a component is damaged in use, the user can print a replacement and be back in the air in minutes. Alternatively, if you have custom mission needs, you can leverage the existing MONARK airframe as a starting point to build what you need. All individual parts are available for future repairs.
- Modular. The MONARK electronics are highly modular and can be configured with various capabilities and at various price points. If your mission requires licensed frequencies and advanced anti-jamming technologies, we have plug and play radio options from Doodle Labs and Microhard. If you need a short-range, low-cost systems there are options from Herelink and Microhard. The system can be configured without a thermal sensor or with up to a 640×512 pixel thermal sensor. With all the options, the user can swap components themselves in minutes with basic hand tools.
- Extensible. Designed to be future-proof, the MONARK includes a wide range of peripheral support interfaces, is ready for 5G or AI coprocessing and includes a sophisticated payload subsystem to needs ranging from simple dropping to more advanced payload scenarios. With the power of the RPi 5 industrial compute module and Hailo AI coprocessor, advanced object detection and pixel-tracking algorithms can be added to the MONARK.
- Secure. Designed, built and manufactured in the USA. Every circuit board in the MONARK is US-made and handled/programmed by US citizens. Software is developed in house and/or built upon the industry leading open-source UAS tools with an auditable commit history.
The “Alpha” Configuration includes the following hardware:
Radio: 1600-2500 Mhz, 2W 2×2 MIMO (See Note) or Herelink Blue (2.4ghz)
Camera: Fermion Dual EO/IR, 12MP low-light EO with EchoTherm 320 thermal sensor
***NEW*** Includes 1 Axis Gimbal
All MONARK systems are built on EchoMAV’s EchoPilot SBX Autopilot system. The MONARK is NDAA and Section 838 compliant.
No remote ID provided
Compatible with the QGCS-based MONARK GCS or the ATAK UAS Tool plugin.
NOTE: 1600-2500Mhz radio system is currently available only for U.S. Government customers. FCC equipment authorization pending. Not for sale or lease to the general public without license.
As a build kit, this item does NOT include 3D printed parts. It is not assembled, but includes everything you will need other than the 3D printed parts.
